Dr Adamu received the following Honours/Awards such as Honour for dedication to duty as Coordinator of Clinical Services/Deputy Chairman Medical Advisory Committee (DCMAC), July 2015, Letter of commendation for diligent and invaluable coordination of the open heart surgery program 2015, Appreciation award for contributing to the success of the 44th annual conference of Nigerian cardiac society Ile-Ife 2015, Hospital for humanity award in appreciation of outstanding dedication and service beyond the call of duty in paediatric cardiothoracic surgery program 2015, Hospital for humanity/Garki hospital honour and recognition of outstanding special contributions to the purpose, objectives and operations of hospital for humanity, Abuja. While in June 2015 National Youth Service Corps honoured him with State Award of Commendation of Selfless Service to Ohafia Community in Abia State {1996}], Best Graduating Student in Medicine (University of Jos) {1994}, Best Student, Medical Microbiology {1993}, Best graduating science student Government Science Secondary, Kuru, Plateau state. 1986, Plateau State Governor’s Award for Outstanding Performance in WASC/GCE, {1986}.
